Tax Calendar for Freelancers

When you work for yourself, there’s no HR or payroll person who’s going to make sure that the right amount of money is taken out of your earnings for taxes. So you’re going to have to do it yourself.

In the United States, the government requires self-employed individuals to pay estimated taxes on a quarterly basis. Of course, they’re not going to tell you how much those taxes are or directly send you reminders about when to pay. So that’s what this tax calendar is for.

I’ve built it out for the 2022 and 2023. It includes tips for how much of your earnings to put aside for taxes every week (or whenever you collect payment from clients). It also includes notes on when your estimated quarterly tax payments are due. Download the calendar in your preferred format and make sure you stay on the good side of Uncle Sam from here on out!

The calendar was made using Canva and is publicly available, so enjoy this template on the house!
